As far as office lighting goes, I found a great way to conserve energy at my office by changing all my fluorescent lighting to lower energy cost lighting. I used a tool called Energy Efficient Lighting Calculator
Energy Efficient Lighting Calculator. It helped show me the best cost and savings for the right fixtures for my office. As well as linking me to a contractor through their site. I was able to tackle it one day! Great for me, seeing as I know nothing about lighting!!

[...] Compact fluorescent bulbs use a fraction of the energy and last much longer than traditional incandescent bulbs. These cost about 4 times as much as incandescent bulbs, but actually turn out to be cheaper when you consider how much longer they last. Then there is the reduced cost of electricity used, making the switch to compact fluorescent bulbs a simple going green office policy.
